Along with my coursework I have had the opportunity to participate in two practicums. The first practicum was a week long experience in October 2010 with the National Park Service at the Western Archeological and Conservation Center (WACC) in Tucson, Arizona. In Arizona I worked with other Emporia State University students interested in working with archives. To find out more about my experience visit my WACC practicum page.

During the summer of 2011 I was able to complete a course required practicum at the University of Utah’s Marriott Library Special Collections. My experience was a month long tour through various departments including Multimedia Archives, Rare Books, Manuscripts, and Western Americana.
